Ol Pejeta Staff End the Year in Style
After a year of hard work, Ol Pejeta held its annual end year party on Saturday, 5th December 2015. Dubbed “The Mingle Reloaded” the party was a chance for Ol Pejeta’s 650 employees to relax, have fun and reflect on the year.
The Mingle Reloaded kicked off with a word of prayer, after which staff were divided into 4 teams: Rhino, Simba, Tembo and Cheetahs. The teams competed in volleyball and soccer matches, as well as obstacle races which caused much amusement.
The highlight of the games was the tug of war between the teams, which saw Team Rhino versus Team Tembo in the finals. Team Rhino, true to their namesake, eventually proved the stronger team; not only winning the tug of war but also the soccer and obstacle races.
After the games, staff shared a well deserved meal as the outstanding departmental performers for the year were recognised. Ol Pejeta’s Human Capital manager, Schola Waihenya, led the presentation of the awards.Staff with musical talent also performed, much to the delight of their colleagues.
After a day full of food, fun, games and celebration, the party came to an end. The Mingle Reloaded certainly lived up to the hype and we can’t wait to have an even better party next year!
