Ol Pejeta Win Private Conservancy of the Year

Ecotourism Kenya has awarded Ol Pejeta the Private Conservancy of the Year award for the third time in four years. The Eco Warrior Awards, which recognise innovations and leadership in responsible tourism, were held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Nairobi on 14th October 2016.

The winners were announced by Chief Judge Mrs. Judy Kepher-Gona, in a glitzy ceremony attended by Kenya's key tourism players.

Criteria for private conservancy of the year includes membership to the Kenya Wildlife Conservancies Association (KWCA), and demonstration of impact to community, wildlife or tourism partners since inception. Ol Pejeta beat Ol Jogi Conservancy and Galana Conservancy for the top prize,

It is our third time to win this fantastic award in 4 years (2012, 2015, 2016) and the sheer pride and happiness coming from the Ol Pejeta table was felt by the whole room. Chief Operating Officer Simon Rowe was in attendance, as well as other departmental heads.
