"The tour guides are well informed, informative and pleasant, they make the experience even better." TripAdvisor Review, Feb 2017.
Our guides like to keep on top of their game (not literally... we'd never suggest trying to ride a wild rhino). To many guests, they are the face of Ol Pejeta, and can make the difference between a great trip, and an awesome one. For the past three years we have enlisted the help of Byron Ross from Essential Guiding in South Africa, to help keep our guides sharp. He was here from the 22nd March to 1st April to train up 14 Ol Pejeta guides in guest handling and communication skills. All 14 guides received a certificate in recognition of their new skills.

Last December, most of our guides took the KSPGA (Kenya Professional Safari Guides Association) exam, and with the help of the Essential Guiding training, passed with flying colours. Additional exams are set for this year, for those who haven't taken it yet.
